Gina Beim, a registered professional engineer in the State of Ohio, holds a Civil Engineering degree from the PUC University in Rio de Janeiro and Masters of Science in Systems Engineering and in Operations Research, as well as an MBA, all from Case Western Reserve University. Gina has decades of experience in wastewater and water resources planning and management. gina-beim-portraitGina’s business degree led to more than a decade of directing the marketing department of a manufacturer of testing instruments for the engineering and construction industry.

In 2007, Gina founded MCDA Consulting LLC, the name a nod to her goal of expanding the focus of the firm from marketing strategy to employing Multiple Criteria Decision Analysis to help organizations make better decisions. Gina had been intrigued by this methodology since using it to evaluate alternative engineering solutions, and saw the potential for expanding its applications. Some of her work in multi criteria decision analysis – as well as in other fields in which she has worked – have been published in professional journals. Gina’s leadership positions in the American Society of Civil Engineers include President of its Cleveland Section, and multiple committee chairmanships.
